Courtenay’s practice is deeply rooted in her exploration of consciousness. This inspires her distinctive blend of impressionist and expressionist artwork. Drawing upon her education in Visual Communication from University For The Creative Arts, Courtenay’s work seamlessly combines traditional abstract painting with bold colours and intuitive marks, inviting viewers to contemplate the depths of human awareness.

Courtenay’s artistic endeavors have garnered recognition both locally and internationally. She is represented by Azart Gallery, New York and  her work has been featured in Saatchi Art’s Undiscovered Artists To Know. Notably, she has received acknowledgment from Pulitzer Prize-winning art critic Jerry Saltz who has liked and commented on her work.

Her paintings are held by private collectors in the UK, USA and UAE.
